I just wanted to make one last journal entry to tie up loose ends here. This will be the last thing posted on this site, it's just too painful still for me to see pictures of Murphy and probably will be for some time to come. I'm going to leave this all here as a memorial though, because Murphy may have been a little guy, but he was definitely worth it...he brought so much happiness and laughter and love to our lives.

For those of you who haven't read on my main site I posted this to just clear up any questions people might have:

Just to clear things up a little for people we think what happened in the end was little Murphy had something wrong with his insides that had been giving him problems for a long time. He had been sick and was improving from holistic treatments but then went downhill again, and when we took him in to the vet he was very dehydrated and his liver and bowels weren't working correctly. He's always been very small and thin, and never matured like he was supposed to, even though he ate like a horse up until right before the end. He just wasn't able to get the nourishment he needed from his food due to whatever was going on inside him.

After a pretty intense couple of weeks struggle the poor little guy just couldn't fight things anymore. He died in our home on the morning of September 28th as we were preparing to rush him in to the vet again. I'm just so glad that by some fluke I woke up to check on him and was able to be there with him in the end and tell him that I loved him and that it was ok to let go and stop hurting.
